With the launch of its unique mobile mechanic fleet, Vancouver-based WrenchPatrol brings a brand new concept to drivers in the lower mainland: they deliver! WrenchPatrol’s crew of red-seal certified auto mechanics drive to customers’ locations and perform warrantied repairs and maintenance at their home or work. The start-up company’s focus is on convenience, transparency & environmental responsibility. Co-founders Iain Rogers and Trevor Burgess wanted to create a business model custom fit to the West Coast lifestyle: work hard and enjoy your leisure time. “The mechanic comes to you. I think most people can imagine how that would improve your work day or family time,” said WrenchPatrol co-founder Iain Rogers, an avid white-water Kayaker & instructor. “Like many Vancouverites, I work hard during the day. If I can get a reliable repair – or even just an oil change – without wasting half a day out of the office, I can head directly to the Capilano River for a paddle after work.”

WrenchPatrol knows automotive customers are on the lookout for an open, honest mechanic. While the industry has often been deemed untrustworthy with complaints of hidden costs, lengthy repairs and lack of communication, WrenchPatrol aims to change that. The company’s policy of full disclosure includes educating customers about the exact services their car needs, sharing the breakdown of all costs and ensuring there are no surprise charges.

“Vancouver is very progressive and very innovative, but the automotive industry has been on the same play-book for 50 years. It’s time for a change,” said co-founder Trevor Burgess, an international businessman and self-proclaimed mediocre fisherman. “We’re not only filling a void when it comes to convenient, transparent and affordable car service, but we’re also extremely serious about being environmentally responsible. Both Iain and I love the outdoors and the natural beauty British Columbia has to offer. We want our business to have the lowest carbon footprint possible.”

Supporting the City of Vancouver’s goal to become the world’s greenest city by 2020, WrenchPatrol has taken many steps to be environmentally responsible: from their unique, fuel efficient fleet of micro one-tonne trucks and their selection of high-performance recycled engine oil products, to the ways they recycle and dispose of automotive products, the eco-friendly soaps and cleaning supplies used at the WrenchPatrol repair centre and even the printed materials they use to communicate with customers.

Along with their convenient door-to-door delivery of fully warrantied auto parts and services, friendly customer
service and easy-to-use online booking system, WrenchPatrol also offers in-shop repairs at their custom facility headquartered in Burnaby.
